PHBC-30 Plant System

REQUEST

The L&S heating blanket control system PHBC-30 Plant System is based on a concept of a central, intelligent, controlling PLC-system combined with simple heating blankets with built-in temperature sensors in as well as external sensors.

The advantage of using this system is that a proper curing is ensured each time and that a TG value above 70 is reached in each curing process without the use of manpower to control the temperature of the heated area during the curing.

In the end, this system will save time and manpower and ensure a consistently high quality of all curing jobs, every time. The first time!

After each curing job, a full report with all information such as curing cycle, temperatures, curing time, any alarms may be generated and printed as documentation for the repair having been completed according to the standards and expectations for this specific job.

The whole control and logging is performed through a touch screen HMI panel, with logical build up screens for temperature control, data logging, alarm logging, trend curves and program run time.

The display layout will be made as a guided step by step procedure, where each step needs acknowledgement to pass to the next step. This step by step setup is to ensure that the operator is aware of what to do in each step and that he signs on before proceeding to next step.

Optionally a GSM module can be added, so the operator will receive an SMS if an alarm or a power failure occurs.

The system has 30 independent outputs which means that each of the up to 30 blankets can work independently with its own curing cycle/recipe.
The recipes are pre-installed. However, with access using a given password, it is possible to install exactly the curing cycle needed for the specific job.

If alarms occur, which may happen if a sensor is broken or if the temperature is too high or too low, or if there is a failure in a heating blanket, power loss or other related situations,  a visual signal light at the top of the control system will start flashing. Alternatively, an acoustic horn will sound. With ready-selected recipes, it is easy to start a curing job. Before each start-up, the system runs a quick test to ensure that everything is correctly
connected and to find any defective components.
