Tank heating

Lund & Sorensen manufactures specially designed heating elements for hydraulic oil tanks placed in the nacelle or hub of wind turbines. The viscosity of the oil in these tanks is very dependent on temperature. Heating the tanks therefore makes it possible to optimise oil viscosity.
To get maximum benefit from this, these heating elements are available with insulation to ensure that the heat given off is directed to the bottom of the tank rather than just disappearing into the surrounding atmosphere.
Note: These heating element solutions are supplied with a self-adhesive back that makes them particularly quick and easy to mount. They are also ideal for control cabinets with a minimum of space.
Lund & Sorensen can also supply immersion heaters for both hydraulic oil and gear oil tank systems.
